Day 313 - "Oushaaaa!!!!"

I was at karate tonight, taking some pictures for my art. This is one of Booms which I have converted to black and white and boosted the contrast. I'm planning to do some fun things with Photoshop with these!! :DHere's a joke for ya - How many black belts does it take to change a light bulb?

10 - one to change it and 9 to say "that's not how my Sensei taught me!"

Being a black belt... I find this to be hilarious and totally true!!

Day 226 - Home.

Well I'm back in Northern Ireland... my car, however, is not. Bad times. Bad times. Yes, my car is broken and is still in Chester. Guess that means no driving for me for a while! Ah well.

So sometimes I just can't help but edit... but I like it.

Day 205 - FUSED Begins...

Solution to blurred picture? PHOTOSHOPToday starts my FUSED adventure for the next two weeks! Today we had a child protection talk and then we were handing out flyers around Newcastle. It was good fun, and I'm making a lot of new friends already! :)

So excited!!

Oh, FUSED is a fortnight long summer scheme for kids. I'm being a leader, for a group called the Adventurers, who are from P4 to P7!

Day 201 - EXTREME FOOTBALL!

You know what this is? THIS IS EXTREME FOOTBALL! Watch me kick that ball yeah!!
This morning / afternoon Mich and I were hanging out with Emily, an intern at Murlough House. Although we haven't hung out with her much, we wanted to hang out before she left to go back to America on Thursday, so we dandered around Murlough Beach and Newcastle for a while! It was a lot of FUN! We got some mad photos, and there were many many fits of giggles!! :DThis is a photo I took of us in the big ball in Newcastle, and below I have photoshopped it, merely for my own amusement! I quite like it!

Day 199 - Today Is A Seashell...

Today is a smooth, white seashell, hold it close and listen to the beauty of the hours.I took this picture of a shell a friend gave to me on my light box. I changed it to black and white and boosted the contrast a wee bit to make it more interesting! :)

Day 174 - And So My Face Is Revealed

Oh dear... it would seem I've Photoshopped another photo... :(

Okay so I wanted to take a self portrait, but I kinda hate my face, so I'm rarely satisfied with them unless my head is not in them... if you look at all my other self portraits on this blog, I'm pretty sure my head is chopped out of all of them. So I'm not happy using pictures of myself unless I've done some fancy editing on them... as vain as it is.

Anyways this one was taken against a white wall, so with just a little contrast boost it looked like I'd taken it in a studio or something woop woop! Dislike this, but there's nothing much I can do about that...

Day 173 - Edit Like Crazy!

So there are days when you're doing Project #365, and you just don't know what to take a picture of... so you doodle in your notebook, take a photo of it and then edit it like crazy on Photoshop to make it look even slightly more interesting... yup! That's what I did today!I figured this doodle represents my lack of inspiration...

Despite the way I look in the overlay of this picture I had a good day today! My first thought after waking up this morning (well after the expected "oh my gosh I am in so much pain why did I walk up various mountains with very little suncream on it burns so much and i can't move my neck but wow that was a fun day... ouch" thought) was "hey! I want to make some brownies today!". So that's what I did today - make brownies! :)

Day 163 - In Dublin Fair City...

Today I was in Dublin fair city! (Where the girls are so pretty lalalalala COCKLES AND MUSSELS ALIVE, ALIVE-OH!) It was a lot of fun! I went with my good friend Debbie and for most of it we just walked around and then in the late afternoon we went to go see Prince of Persia, which is a good movie!I photoshopped this picture, if you can't tell! ;)

There was someone making HUGE bubbles on the street and I got a picture of some of them. I thought it would be cool to decrease the saturation around the bubble but keep the bubble itself bright and colourful... I really like how it turned out actually! :)

Day 103 - Photoshop or Photobooth? Hmmmm...

There were shouts of "good luck for your art exam!" all around us as we walked to the classroom. We thanked them, replying with "I'm so stressed, I don't know anything" / "I haven't picked up a book!" / "No one has revised!" We were then reassured by our friends, telling us that everything would be okay, and inwardly we laughed ("hahahaha" or "LOL" but not "hahahaha LOL") because we knew that an 'art exam' was just an art class that lasts all day. The stress of it all haha ;)

So I spent all day working on the computer on some of my Photoshop pieces. Sitting watching a screen all day is draaiinninnng..... so near the end of the day I few friends and I got distracted by Photobooth on my friend Corinne's Mac... so these are gonna be my pictures of the day!

I don't want to have to spend another whole day in the art room tomorrow... well I'm planning to bring a lot more food this time to keep me sustained!

Day 66 - Photoshop Addiction Much?

So I realise that I've been doing quite a bit of editing recently, so I've decided today I was gonna give you a before and after pic. I was at my cousins house today and took a picture of myself in their mirror. Here's the before pic. Not that exciting really. So I opened it on Photoshop and was in a random mood so put the "Brightness" up as high as it could go. It pretty much turned out like the "after" picture below, except the painting and light were visible. So I took those out and am pretty pleased with the results actually! Hopefully I'll stop this drastic editing faze soon...



I have a distinct lack of Emzy-Doodle in my life right now. Emma "Emzy-Doodle" Thompson is my cousin / best friend / awesome person and I haven't seen her since New Year.... (she was working today). I love you Emzy!

Day 43 - Why Are They Called Pipe-Cleaners?

Why are they called pipe-cleaners if they aren't used to clean pipes?!Today, when we were out at Oasis, we found some pipe-cleaners, and my friend Mich decided to make me some pipe-cleaner glasses. She is a very skilled glasses maker... they fit better than my actual glasses do! If I look down my actual glasses fall off... I need to get them fixed!

I got home from the Oasis and went onto the computer, was looking at my blog and realised I hadn't got a picture for today. Thankfully my laptop has a webcam so I got a shot of me wearing my new glasses! Being a webcam, the quality of the photo was crappy, so I edited it on Photoshop. I was kinda going for the old TV look... didn't take me long... I don't want to stay on the computer long!
