Day 286 - I'd Cry Right Now But...

I sat on the prom today after my opticians appointment. The waves were gently lapping, the mis blocked the view of the mountains. Newcastle was pretty deserted. It was wierd. A Newcastle I hadn't seen in a long time. The tourists had left with the summer and now there wasn't much left, just the empty beach and occasional passer by. I was glad of the quiet though. My appointment didn't go well.I've often joked that I have malfunctioning tear-ducts, because I can't cry in public...

"oh Jo and her malfunctioning tear-ducts!"

Well today I was informed by my optician that I genuinely do have malfunctioning tear-ducts. The irony. My eye infections that I've been getting quite a few times this year? Not eye infections. Turns out my tear ducts don't release enough fluid when I blink, so my cornia is very dry. So when I put my lens in, it scratches at my dry patches and inflames my eye. Hence the stinging, bloodshot eyes. So I've been given artificial tears so I can artificially cry four times a day for the next two weeks. After that I'll be told whether I can ever wear lenses again...

I hate my -7 short sighted, conjunctivitis-prone, tear-duct malfuctioning eyes.

Day 215 - Looking Like Idiots...

More dancing with the kids, except this one makes us look more like idiots. :D

This picture was taken in the evening. This afternoon we were at the beach for FIGHT THE TIDE!! Woop woop!! This was a sand castle building competition and then Leaders vs Kids water fight on the beach! It was immense. I would have loved to get pictures, but my camera would have been destroyed in the process... a risk I'd rather not take.

Day 197 - Adventures On The Beach

"If green and blue met, started dating, fell in love, got married and had a baby... it would be turquoise. This is the story of turquoise. The End" ... you are to me as green is to blue.

Another spontaneous adventure today!! :D I love them! Today we went for a walk along the beach, and then dandered along the grassy drumlins to Murlough House. It was a nice wee walk, I do love random adventures. So this is the beach at Murlough... which is essentially one of my favourite places in the world.
What I like about this photo, is it is actually a photograph of me and Michelle. As you can see I am in the right eye, and Mich is just in the corner of the right eye. I kinda like it! :)

Day 156 - Bonding With Besties

This afternoon, I was sitting in my room doing some revision, and I just thought, "I wanna meet my best friend for tea!" So I rang my good friend Sarah and was like "hey! meet me in town?" and she was like "sure!"

So we met up and had a nice bonding session before going out to youth club! :) I enjoyed myself!
Sarah took this picture of our feet ^ should give her a wee shout out! Love ya!

Day 150 - And My Song Shall Ever Be...

Tonight I was at a big church service in the Newcastle Center... it was a very good night I have to admit! I'm looking forward to the next one! The guy speaking was very good and the worship was awesome :)

Afterwards a few of us went a long the prom for a walk... I didn't have my camera with me, but the sky was soooo pretty, so I attempted taking a few on my phone. They're not great quality but with a bit of editing they didn't turn out too shabby!

Day 91 - One Day I'll Fly Away...

Firstly, my apologies for the amount of photos in this post... I couldn't pick which one to post so I posted a lot! Today I went for another walk... this time for a long one across the beach. I love walking. I could walk for miles just enjoying everything that surrounds me. As I said yesterday, it clears my head (which is great because my head is buzzing right now). I brought my camera and lenses, and got some pretty good landscapes I think (see below). The picture above is of my reflection in the big ball on Newcastle main street.

Having the telephoto lens with me meant I could get some shots of birds, which I am pretty pleased with! =)
It's been a good start to my Easter holidays anyway...
