Day 245 - Day Two In The World Of U6th-ness

One of the presents my sister got for her birthday was a scooter... she loves it! This is her on it.

I'm already getting a bit sick of school... and art is already starting to stress me out.... meh, hopefully it'll get better! It feels wierd being U6th, I keep expecting to see people from the year above, but I don't! I feel old...

Day 228 - Wii!

My little sister is getting the hand at playing the Wii. It's kinda cute!I took this with my fish eye lens.

Day 180 - Upon Rediscovering Fish Eye...

So you may remember that post I had, "Upon Rediscovering Macro..." in which I had taken pictures with my macro lens, rediscovering my love for it. Today I rediscovered my fish eye lens! I realized (facepalm for not realizing this before) that you didn't have to have it fully zoomed out to get a distorted picture. Half way between actually works really well!

Here's some pics I got of my sister... oh how she loves the attention! She's always happy to post for the camera, but will rarely do what you ask her too haha!

The one above makes me laugh :D and so does the one below actually... I'll tell you why. So Katie often asks me to show her some karate. One of the katas I often show her is Bassai. So I asked Katie to stick her hand towards the camera so that I could make a wide angle distortion, and she did this - which is actually the exact hand position for the opening of Bassai. This kid picks up things quick!!

Speaking of karate, tonight I'm going out to dinner with the karate gang! :) Should be bant!

Day 157 - Revision. You Bore Me.

This is just a quickie I took with my fish eye lens. Spent all day revising again. Yay.

Day 101 - But Not A Dalmatian In Sight!

This photo was taken on my fish eye lens, and I kinda like it! I'm kinda bummed that this is the last day of the Easter holidays... ah well, I've not got much longer left of school anyway! I would have liked to spend today relaxing, but just to be annoying, the GB District Parade was today. Normally I would skive off such a boring event, but our GB / town was hosting it this year and I had to sing so I felt obligated to go. It was lovely and embarrassing. :)

Day 80 - *Sun*Day.

Today I went filming again for M.I.A. ... it was a lot of fun! I didn't expect the weather to be half as nice as it was. I was pleasantly surprised and extremely grateful! But now I am very happy because I can successfully say that I have finished all film work for my coursework, and so all is left is the post - production! Wahheeyyy! I do enjoy the filming though. Ever since I was just a wee'un, less than a metre high with my head in the clouds (those must be low clouds) I've wanted to make a film. And now I have that oppurtunity, it feels like I'm fulfilling a life long dream. *sighs happily, lost in reverie*

Well here are some pics from today, mostly of Mich and Corinne - Mich was acting for me (she was wonderful) and Corinne came for the bant / to help me with ideas (she too is wonderful). This is Corinne -

We were filming in Castlewellan Forest Park, home to one of the largest hedge mazes in the world... it used to be the largest, but unfortunately now I believe there is a larger one. Don't worry Castlewellan Hedge Maze... I still think you're awesome!

Well I had a very good day... the sun makes me happy and I'm excited for a whole summer of it soon!

Day 23 - A Genuinely Good Day.

I love it when after a stressful and not nice week at school you go out at the weekend and genuinely enjoy yourself! School is hard, and is stressful, and usually the weekend consists of me doing work or resting... and if I go out I'm exhausted / stressing over the work I'm not doing! But today some friends and I went out to Tollymore to actually do some schoolwork - filming some experimental footage for Moving Image Arts (like Film Studies). It was a lot of fun, I was filling in for the cast member and I suddenly remembered how much I love acting! =] I haven't done any proper acting since my GCSE drama final last April... a long time ago!

This picture is of my good friend Sophie (hopefully she won't mind me using this photo... I can't remember if she approved of it or not =P) It was taken with my fish eye lense, but I edited out the black circly bit on Photoshop and tweaked the colour and lighting a wee bit to make it look less flat. I "dodged" the edges to give it a nice effect. Like this one =]

Day 10 - I'm Missing Having Dry Socks.

The snow just keeps on coming, doesn't it? I apologise for how much snowy pictures I have taken! You see anyone in my house who notices that I'm inside will insist that I go out and take pictures of the snow, and usually they end up being my best pics! Okay I promise tomorrow I'll not take pictures of the snow! Well this was the handywork of my father and young sister today... it's a snowman. I decided to use my fish eye lense because I haven't used it for Project 365 before so I thought I might as well! =]
