Here come the men in black...Happy birthday to Ruth! It was her party tonight, and these are two of the guys that attended - Richard and Patrick. Lol, good times!

Day 275 - Happy Birthday To Mummy

It's Mumsie's birthday today! Happy birthday Mummy! :)
I got her a new book and some potpourri. I had no idea what potpourri was when I bought it but it looked like something she'd like... I think she did!
She was also bought a brand new set of cutlery, because we've been using mismatching cutlery for ages and it's killing that little bit of OCD in all of us!

Day 259 - Is That Ironic?

Happy 18th Matthew! Yep, it's my friend Matthew's 18th today. This is him -It was a good night, full of laughs and food and banter and guitars! It's nice being able to just chill with a bunch of your friends sometimes. I've gotten very lazy at getting good photies recently, so the best photography I got all night was of Michelle's shoe. Is that ironic?

Day 254 - Happy Birthday To The Bestie.

RAGE CAKE. That is all.
Nah, not really, I have more to say, mainly HAPPY BIRTHDAY MICHELLE!! Today is Mich's 18th birthday. I made her a rage cake ^ ... I also made her a wee video, because her actual present didn't arrive today. Yep, I was home alone all day today, so I spent the entire day making a five minute video for her. Yes. I was very bored. :) But it was worth it!

The party was a lot of fun, we had Pedro the PiƱata make his grand return. (Last time we saw Pedro was back in the early days of Oasis, where he was brutally murdered.) He was brutally murdered again tonight, as you can see from the picture below.
This is a picture of me and the birthday girl. :)And this is an awkward picture. :)

I had a good night!

Day 242 - Lemonade, Bubbles And Cameras...

Yesterday was my sister's 5th birthday so we had all the family down for lunch today. I love our family parties... there is always a lot of bant! It helped a lot that today was an absolutely beautiful day, so we were able to sit outside, drink some lemonade, blow some bubbles, take some pictures etc. It was a lot of fun. Also, today could have been my last chance to see dear Emzy Doodles before she leaves for uni, like that smart girl she is. (Love you!)

Tonight we also had an SU meeting, to organise what we're going to be doing the first day. I'm very excited for this year's SU. Gonna be EPIC!

The journey home from this meeting was also fun, it involved a lot of raving to random foreign dance songs! Good times :D

Day 239 - The Bertie Botts Beans Game...

Tonight this wonderful person had her 18th birthday party!!
It was a lot of fun! One memorable moment from the night was the 'Bertie Botts Every Flavoured Beans' game. If you are familiar with Harry Potter, you would know they really do mean every flavour. Well, the game was simple. One person took one bean, and another person took another. Whoever got a disgusting bean loses! It was hilarious! I discovered that the white ones were the worst, I'm pretty sure it was sour milk flavour. This led to everyone having to try them because they were that bad. Oh the screams and the horrified expressions that came to follow! Brilliant! :D

Day 234 - Fireside Fellowship

Tonight was a fun night! The gang was at Ali's house (happy birthday Ali!) for a barbeque, it was great fun! A lot of it we spent hanging around a campfire that we made. It was great, I love chats around campfires! I could have stayed there for hours. :)

Day 233 - Nostalgia.

Happy birthday Granma!! It's my Granma's birthday soon, so we had a big surprise birthday party at her house today! It was kinda fun, although, it was my family and a bunch of older people.
There was a lot of -
"oh you look just like your mummy!"
"haven't you grown?"
"auk, I haven't seen you since you were a wee tote!"

Naturally my brother and I spent a lot of the evening in the study, playing my grandfather's awesome keyboard -
I am excited though, because karate has now started again. I was there this morning, and was helping some of the wee kids with their demo stuff. It reminded me of FUSED... helping out with kids, and they were the same age...

*reminisces*

Day 169 - Sweet Sixteen For Sweet Sarah!

Water fights are fun! That's what I did today! It was my best friend Sarah's birthday party which was a lot of fun! Her birthday party never fails to mark the start of summer... I love it. There was mucho bant to be had... lots of fun and games and messing around and swimming and chocolate and laughing and some great conversations too! A lot of the people there I didn't know very well but it was a good chance to get to know them better, and I like those kinda oppurtunities! Below are some more pics I took today... the first one being Sarah, the next some sort of plant I found on the rocks and last, a group pic! (I'm in the hammock... wearing my favourite socks wooo! They have ducks on them!)
Also... my provisional license arrived today! Booyaa! I shall be properly hitting the roads soon! Drove a bit tonight, braking is currently a major issue... I just can't do it haha! I'm sure I'll get better soon though (I hope!)

31.5.10

Day 151 - Seventeen.

Well... today is my birthday!! :D I am now officially 17! Finally! Haha I'm the last one out of my friends in my year to turn 17! I figured because it was my birthday I would take a wee self portrait. It's a little different... but meh! Took me a few attempts to get it right... My parents got me a printer for my birthday which saves me a lot of bother! It's great actually! :) I know, I'm a dork, getting excited because I got a printer... but that's just me I guess! So yeah I've had a good day! Really haven't done that much, just kinda lazed about the house... I took it easy on the whole revision front, took a bit of a break! Just did a few English notes.

It feels weird saying I'm seventeen... it only really sunk in when i opened my present to see those lovely "L" plates... can't wait!!

29.5.10

Day 149 - "Ooh-de-la-lay!"

Today was a good day! The whole family came round to celebrate lots of birthdays - Thomas' and Lucy's 15th(s), Emma's 18th and my 17th! It was fun :) There was a lot of eating to be done... I'm stuffed!! Here's an example of some yummy stuff -Being all grown up and everything now, we spent the evening watching Disney's Robin Hood... time well spent I think! Ooh-de-la-lay! This is a picture of Emma and me... I love her! :)

Good day :)

28.5.10

Day 148 - "SURPRISE!!"

Today we had a surprise birthday party for the lovely miss Vikki! I managed to capture her expression as she walked in the door to find us jumping out and shouting "SURPRISE!!"
Priceless... :)
So we had a good wee afternoon, just chilling! This is a group photo... love you guys!
But now, its official, at age 16 I'm the youngest person in our friendship group (in our year anyway!) :P

21.4.10

Day 111 - That's Like Numerical Alliteration...

It was one of my friend's birthday yesterday, and a mutual friend bought her a toy gun... it provided so much amusement both yesterday and today! I didn't have my camera with me yesterday, but I did today, so I got some pictures!Above is a picture of Mich about to shoot at me... the picture to the right is a photo of her actually shooting at me. It's a good thing I love her... shooting plastic things at my camera is not something a lot of people would get away with!! ;)

Hope everyone has had a good day!

2.4.10

Day 92 - We're All Here Together!

Today was my brother's birthday - he is now fifteen! He refused to let me take a picture of him (even on his birthday!) so I took a picture of my sister instead... =)
Tonight I went to see Taylor University Gospel Choir perform in one of my local village halls. My friends and I brought the average age of the audience down to about 65, but I had such an amazing night! We raved at the back, dancing and clapping our socks off. There were many hilarious moments, for example the crazy dances (YMCA, Walk Like An Egyptian and I don't even know!), chatting with some of the choir (italics = Americans, normal = us)
  • "Do you know many leprechauns?" "Yeah, sure! I'm dating one right now actually! He's called Brian!"
  • "Is 'ginger' an insult?" "That depends... if you're like 'ugh, you're ginger', then yes; if you're like 'oh! you're ginger!', then no."
  • "Is it true that the rivers run with Guinness?" "Of course! What do your rivers run with?"
There were some really uplifting moments though, the choir were so accepting of everyone there, and the amount of joy that radiated from the hall that night was unbelievable. I haven't seen a group of people that happy in a long time, and the fact that most of them were old people, bouncing around and laughing was brilliant! Fantastic =)

"We are here together
You, and you, and me
We're all here together
One big family"
