Day 212 - A Well Deserved Break...

Today I had a well deserved break from FUSED. It was weird coming home for the weekend last night, I'm just glad I'm going back next week! I spent today in Tollymore with my friend Sarah. It was nice having catch up time, as for various reasons we haven't had the chance to hang out recently!The rain came out and so we spent most of the day under the umbrella, but I got a couple of cool photos with it!

Also got to pop in to say hi to my friend Jayne tonight! That was cool :)

Day 211 - Anything For The Kids...

Today was a day for getting messy! Messy on our faces especially! :DDon't I look awesome with cream on my face? I personally think I suit it! What do you think? Well yep, it was the Talent Show / Parents evening tonight at FUSED which meant going the extra mile to be absolutely crazy! I ended up doing the rap part to "Baby" by Justin Beiber, which of course I knew none of the lyrics of! Apparently all the parents saw "a totally different side to me" tonight. Anything for the kids :)After the evening session, I hung out with some of the Swift leaders along the promenade in Newcastle, and had a bit of bant :)

I can't believe the first week of FUSED is over already! I love these kids! And I love my team mates in the Adventurers, we all had a massive group hug tonight which was awesome :)

Day 210 - Welcome To The Banana Olympics!

The Banana Olympics... not intentionally inappropriate anyway...
I am fully loving FUSED. I'm in a great mood, and I just want to dance and sing! :D

Day 209 - Bunkbeds

Apparently this is the best way to have a meaningful conversation... on a bunk bed looking down. Personally I prefer on top of a mountain! Also... these bunk beds squeak something shocking!! But I have an awesome roomie so it's all good! :)I was doing the talk tonight for the kids, it was on sharing. They seemed to listen well as their responses were very good! That pleased me! It's cool being able to talk to these kids about God and stuff. :)

Day 208 - "Blub blub"

Today was slightly less chaotic, and I had A LOT of fun! Yesterday I was kinda like "oh my word I can't do this", but I'm feeling more confident now! This afternoon we went out with the girls and blew bubbles (or "blub blub" as Alex likes to call them!) and drew on the ground with chalk. It was great! I'm liking getting to know them!This is a picture of blub blub. Enjoy

Day 207 - THUS BEGINS THE CHAOS!

This isn't a great picture but it's the only one I took today! This is Josh dressed up as a native for our drama... hahaha!Today was the first day with the kids and it was CHAOTIC!! Hopefully it'll be a more calm day tomorrow :P

Day 206 - One Day To Go...

Tonight we arrived at Ardaluin House, where we'll be staying for the next wee while. A few of us went for a walk to Tollymore, and got into a bit of mischief :)

Day 205 - FUSED Begins...

Solution to blurred picture? PHOTOSHOPToday starts my FUSED adventure for the next two weeks! Today we had a child protection talk and then we were handing out flyers around Newcastle. It was good fun, and I'm making a lot of new friends already! :)

So excited!!

Oh, FUSED is a fortnight long summer scheme for kids. I'm being a leader, for a group called the Adventurers, who are from P4 to P7!

Day 204 - Normality?

Today I met up with Jayne in Newcastle! We just walked and talked and had a good time! It was a nice wee catch up :) plus we had ice cream!!

I came home to find this - my sister sitting in a kayak, in my driveway, reading a book. Only in my house would this be normal.

Day 202 - Howdy Y'all!

Today there was 50/50 weather... on one side of the sky there were dark grey clouds and on the other, clear blue skys. This is a picture of the clouds over the Mourne Mountains moving towards my house.So I can tick another one off! This one excites me a lot!!

Day 201 - EXTREME FOOTBALL!

This morning / afternoon Mich and I were hanging out with Emily, an intern at Murlough House. Although we haven't hung out with her much, we wanted to hang out before she left to go back to America on Thursday, so we dandered around Murlough Beach and Newcastle for a while! It was a lot of FUN! We got some mad photos, and there were many many fits of giggles!! :DThis is a photo I took of us in the big ball in Newcastle, and below I have photoshopped it, merely for my own amusement! I quite like it!

Day 200 - Belfaaawwwst!!

Today I was in Belfast with Sophie and Michelle... doing a bit of shopping and hanging out! :D It was fun! I got a new purple dress, which I like, amongst other stuff. We raided Tiso (an outdoorsy shop) a bit, because I had vouchers for it and didn't need anything specific, so we went a bit mad! Eating at McDonalds was a lot of fun with our new sporks!! :D

So, I did something from the Spade List last night, but I'm not gonna tick it off for a wee while... it'll make more sense later!

Also... DAY 200!! WOOOOOO!!!

Day 199 - Today Is A Seashell...

Today is a smooth, white seashell, hold it close and listen to the beauty of the hours.I took this picture of a shell a friend gave to me on my light box. I changed it to black and white and boosted the contrast a wee bit to make it more interesting! :)

Day 198 - Puppetry...

So right now I'm sitting on my laptop in Mich's room. And I'm far too lazy to get a photo of the day, so instead I have taken a webcam pic of some puppets I made today ;) MAKING PUPPETS IS SO MUCH FUN!!So due to a lack of Karate Kid, we've decided to just hang out all weekend! :) I'm happy with that!

Day 197 - Adventures On The Beach

Another spontaneous adventure today!! :D I love them! Today we went for a walk along the beach, and then dandered along the grassy drumlins to Murlough House. It was a nice wee walk, I do love random adventures.So this is the beach at Murlough... which is essentially one of my favourite places in the world.
What I like about this photo, is it is actually a photograph of me and Michelle. As you can see I am in the right eye, and Mich is just in the corner of the right eye. I kinda like it! :)

Day 196 - Like A Fish.

My mum made this cake... it's pretty cool, isn't it? :) But the only cake I can think of now is RAGE CAKE.Right now I feel like a fish... gutted. Remember I wrote about the Karate Kid premiere that we were performing at that's happening this weekend? It's been postponed. To the 6th and 7th of August. This is quite problematic, as we (me, Mich and Matthew) know for sure we can't do the 6th, but we're hoping that we'll be able to do the 7th. It's a bit annoying, I was really looking forward to it. Ah well, I'll just spend the weekend chilling now!

Day 195 - THUNDER!!

So this isn't a great photo, but I was chilling in my room when I heard the thunder rumble so I grabbed my camera to get a pic of the rain. I didn't have time to use manual mode, so the sky isn't really white... it was quite a dark gray. It was quite exciting, but I hope it doesn't last too long into the future. We get quite a lot of storms in the summer...

Day 194 - You Know What I Love?

This is a picture of a bird. Yes. You know what I love? Ikea. I was in Ikea today. You know what else I love? Decathlon. I was in Decathlon today. You know what else I love? America... I wasn't in America today.

Day 193 - Hello Sunshine!

Recently it has been typical Northern Irish weather, and has been raining... sad times. But today, the sun came out to say hello! Hello Sunshine! So I've spent most of this morning sun bathing :D I want to build up a tan soon! I dandered around the garden for a while to get my picture of the day, and noticed this rather drooped looking patch of flowers. It just seemed to have fell onto the road, it looked kinda cute and sad at the same time, so I took a pic! Hope you like!

Day 192 - Splish Splash Splosh...

I've been meaning to try this for a long time, and I'm quite pleased with it for a first attempt! Again, it's one of these nights that I just don't feel the need to write much, so I won't bore you by doing so. I hope you're having an awesome summer anyway! :) :)

Day 191 - Chipping Paint...

This is a bench in my garden. The paint is always chipping on it, and I think it looks kinda pretty!I went to see Eclipse tonight with my bestie, Sarah. We intended to laugh at it, but it wasn't as bad as I expected it to be! Take that as a mighty compliment...

Day 190 - Gimme Lazy Days...

It was a lazy day today... reminds me of the song "I Got You" by Train... gimme lazy days with nothing better to do, than singin' oh black water keep on rolling while I wait for you, I don't care if it rains, I'll be just fine, I'm leaving the ghosts behind until I got you. Yep, I do like a bit of Train, I do. Soundtrack of the summer? I think so!
I guess lazy days require a lazy picture... so I used webcam! It's a self portrait... incase you didn't realise.

Day 189 - Black Belt Frisbee - The New Xtreme Frisbee!

Tonight I had my three fellow black belts round for the evening, for a "very serious black belt conference". This involved hardcore training like playing Frisbee and standing at the side of the main road, doing the crane to see how many cars would honk. Yes, I feel it was a very worthwhile training session. This is the four of us, doing our famous black belt pose. :) From left to right, me, Conor (aka Booms), Mich and Matthew.

I had an awesome night, I love my karate buddies, and I hope there's more of these to come! :)

Next Friday and Saturday we will be doing some karate at the premiere of the new Karate Kid movie... I'm uber excited!!!

Day 188 - Buttons! :)

These are some wellyboots I found in a shop in Enniskillen today! Had a good holiday! It was a lot of fun! But I'm looking forward to the next few days...

Day 187 - Marble Arch Caves...

These are the Marble Arch caves. The low lighting helped me to experiment with some motion blur which was a lot of fun! This one was my favourite... it was hard keeping a steady hand with the long shutter speed, but I love the effect of the people moving in this one! :) Hope you like!

Day 184 - I LOVE LUNCH!

I LOVE LUNCH! It's half way to dinner... lol.So I've come to realize that when I'm home all day with nothing to do I eat like a PIE. Like I've eaten non stop for the past two days. It sickens me. Meant to go out for a run to burn it off... so far that hasn't happened! :P
